IBM: Redesign of the MarketView Group Intranet Site

IBMs internal marketing group, MarketView, needed to recreate their
intranet site to communicate more clearly their mission and services.
On approaching this project, I had in mind two primary goals :
to convey quickly and directly what is most
important and unique about the Group, so that the user is immediately
presented with a comprehensive snapshot of MarketViews identity
and the valuable services they offer.
to enable the user to access a wide array of
marketing data with ease. From the start page on, the site should be organized,
intuitive, and well conceived, offering the appropriate amount of choice
and information for the user. As well, the tone
of the writing should be informative, not promotional.
After a series of interviews with key personnel at MarketView, I was able
to:
1 create a new outline of the content of the site
2 analyze and restructure the architecture of the site
3 recommend writing styles, giving the site a new, clearer voice
4 provide all visual design and programming
NOTE: Because MarketViews site contains confidential information,
it is unavailable to the public. However, please take a look at a modified
version illustrating the sites general look and structure. All
text has been replaced with Latin.
